Roasted almonds

Course: Trifle, Dessert

Ingredients

  • 150 g Almonds
  • 40 g Coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1 TL Vanilla
  • 1 TL Ceylon cinnamon
  • 1/2 TL Cardamom or cloves, if desired
  • 50 ml Water

Instructions

  • Pour the water into a pan placed on the cooker.
  • Turn on the cooker and wait for the water to boil. 
  • Now add the coconut blossom sugar and the spices and mix everything together.
  • Then add the almonds and turn the heat to medium.
  • Now let the sugar/water mixture simmer with the almonds until there is no more liquid and the almonds are well covered with the caramel mixture.
  • Pour the caramelised almonds onto a baking paper and spread them out so that the almonds do not touch each other.
  • Let them get cold and wait until the sugar is firm. Now you can enjoy them or give them as a gift. :)
