High Plant Protein Schnitzel

Fancy a High Plant Protein Schnitzel without animal suffering? Our schnitzels contain a whopping 31g of protein thanks to the sprouted oat flakes 🙂

High Plant Protein Schnitzel

Cook Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 220 g Wacker Sprouted Oat Flakes Organic
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 TL Pepper
  • 1/2 TL Nutmeg
  • 1 EL Onion powder
  • 1 EL Garlic powder
  • 1/2 EL Paprika noble sweet
  • 200 ml Plant milk hot
  • 1 TL Mustard
  • Margarine or frying oil for browning
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Lemon slices optional

Instructions

  • Mix our sprouted oat flakes with the salt, pepper and other spices.
  • Add the hot vegetable milk and mustard and mix well.
  • Cover and leave to stand for 20 minutes. Form 4 thin cutlets. Coat both sides with breadcrumbs and then melt some margarine in a frying pan.
  • Then you can sear the cutlets on both sides first on a higher heat and then continue to sear them on a medium heat until they have been in the pan for a total of 10 minutes. ENJOY! 😋

    I have modified the Hightech plant protein schnitzel recipe:
    with spelt flakes and falafel mix instead of spice powder. All with almond milk and very little breadcrumbs. It tastes good and is filling.
    I could imagine that it would be perfect with onion chutney or beetroot.
    I would be delighted to receive more waffle recipes from you, as I love to eat savoury waffles with every meal. I'd love quantities for Belgian iron.
