Enjoy our vegan falafel with homemade naan bread and vegetable sticks - such a delicious combo!
Servings: 6 Portions
Ingredients
- 120 ml lukewarm water
- 3 ½ gr Dry yeast
- 1 EL Olive oil
- 60 gr vegan curd
- ½ TL Salt
- 300 gr Wacker Sprouted Spelt Flour Organic
- 1 Pack Wacker Sprouted Falafel Mix Organic
- Seasonal vegetables
Instructions
- Mix the lukewarm water with the yeast and sugar in a bowl and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Add the olive oil, vegan curd, salt and sprouted spelt flour. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes.
- Leave the dough in the bowl to rise for 1 hour.
- After the resting time, shape the dough into 6 small patties (approx. ½ cm thick and oval).
- Fry in a pan with a little oil for 2-3 minutes until the patties are golden brown.
- Mix the sprouted falafel mixture according to the instructions and fry in a pan until golden brown.
- Enjoy together with vegetable sticks and dips of your choice 🙂

Only one recipe didn't work out for me and I'd like some help with that. What did I do wrong when baking waffles with the sprouted spelt flour? The waffle iron was completely stuck 🙁 The scrapped remains were very tasty.
Too bad, because I would love to bake them again.

About the waffles: It is important to grease the waffle iron well so that the time does not stick. If that doesn't work, you can also bake the batter in a frying pan 🙂
